DraftQueens
DraftKings
Whether people like it or not, the WNBA is changing the game for women’s sports — and DraftKings is changing with it. In the lead-up to WNBA Draft Day, DraftKings will rebrand as DraftQueens to focus on and emphasize the power of women’s sports in the rise of the WNBA. This rebrand finally gives the world of women’s sports the credit it deserves by letting the shine of the WNBA put haters to shame.
From a new logo, to rebranding existing socials, and even replacing spokesperson Kevin Hart with Wanda Sykes, the DraftQueens takeover leaves no remnant of DraftKings in sight.
Launch Party
DraftQueens celebrates the rebrand by throwing the official WNBA Draft Day watch party in Boston. Hosted by new spokeswoman Wanda Sykes, fans can enjoy a night full of laughs, food, and drinks while watching each pick unfold in style.
Bet on the Boycott
We bet that many people won’t be on board with the rebrand. So, we’re launching DraftQueens with one big bet: what percentage of our user base are we losing in response to our rebrand? The winners of the bet win their earnings and DraftQueens matches it.
Hate the Player, Fund the Game.
The WNBA has nothing to gain from hate comments. Until now. For each hate comment the WNBA gets on their socials, DraftQueens will donate to the Jr. WNBA (@courtofleaders).
Pickups Against Putdowns
Haters say that nobody turns out for WNBA games, despite record-breaking viewership and attendance that beg to differ. That’s why DraftQueens is hosting 5v5 WNBA pick-up games in public, in major cities — but dropping the times and locations day-of on DraftQueens socials.
Q.U.E.E.N
Haters also say that the WNBA isn’t competitive. To prove them wrong, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are taking the low-stakes game of H.O.R.S.E and turning it into Q.U.E.E.N: a high-stakes, must-watch trick shot competition fueled by their heated rivalry. Catch Q.U.E.E.N streaming live on Twitch and place bets on DraftQueens to get in on the action.
Wanda Wants the W
On Tiktok, our new spokeswoman Wanda Sykes makes in-person bets with fans at WNBA games throughout the season.
Cover Me 2K
DraftQueens partners with 2K Games to celebrate women’s basketball stars outside of the WNBA. We’re heading to local women’s basketball leagues nationwide and spotlighting the players by putting them on their very own custom 2K covers.
We Crown Her
Swarovski
DraftQueens partners with Swarovski to create the official DraftQueens Crown trophy. At the end of the WNBA season, fans vote to crown the player they believe inspired, led, and uplifted women’s sports the most all season long.
